Film Script (Week Three)
Planned Script for Her Slow Disappearance
Scene 2: Scene cut to flashback (the movie will take place as a flashback until it catches up with the scene of her dead in the bathroom) Cut order -
- Sarah asleep, top view of her turning to the side.
- cut, camera has followed to a front view of the direction she turned in the first shot as she slowly opens eyes. Single shot continues, panning to the left / following her eye movements.
- cut to shot of the night stand next to her bed, her hand can be seen opening the drawer reaching in and pulling out empty bag of what was filled with cocaine previously
-camera pans along with the bag in hand, shot ends on Sarahs face.
-cut, head in hands she repeats,"no, no, no" before slamming bag on bed and standing to leave room
-cut, the camera is on the floor at an angle where only her feet and lower legs can be seen walking out of the bedroom door and slightly closing it behind her.
Scene 3: she is in the bathroom frantically opening drawers looking for something. mostly done in one shot.
-cut, camera is under the sink and is facing outwards, Sarahs face and hand can be seen as she reaches underneath and grabs a pill bottle
Scene 4: quick back and forth cuts between Sarah and her mothers POV, Sarah taking her drugs and her mother finding the empty bag on her bed.
Scene 5: confrontation between mother and daughter-
M: "Wha-What are you doing in there?"
S: "Nothing in not doing anything-"
M: "Then whats this?" holds up the bag found on bed
M: "What is this."
S: "Its nothing-
M: "Nothing?"
S: "Yes."
M: "Where in gods name do you think this is nothing?!"
S: "Its just a bag-"
M: "A bag? yes its a clear bag, right? Do you see what I see?" bag held up between the two
S: "No"
M: "you dont see anything?"
S: "No"
M: "I must be blind-"
S: "You must be."
Cut
M: "You must want more trouble."
S: "What trouble-?"
And that it! we are going to leave the movie on a cliff hanger since we only have 2 minute :( Boo!
A lot of the dialogue between characters will be free-styled by them, we want the scene to be authentic and feel real and improved scripts really help to get that emotion across.
